A remake of “Agent of the Mole” (2020)
Line of Events
Charles, a pensioner, gets a new lease of life when he responds to an ad for a private detective and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”.
Before you know it, you’re so involved that you just need to know who did it!
To be honest, I admit that at first glance I wasn’t sure that this show even remotely interested me, but somehow it managed to attract me. All the characters are very easy to love, and they are very close to the person in your life.
My favorite quote from the series: “Every great event in your life, looking back, seems like a miracle” Very poetic, because it resonates within each of us
It’s also a gentle reminder that we’re all here asking to do the same thing: to live and enjoy life, so we might as well do our best to get along and, above all, be kind to each other. I also admit that it was a little strange to see Ted Denson in this role, especially if you are used to him as the Cheers character “Sam”; but very early “Charles” touches the strings of your soul, leaving no sad memories of “Sam”.
A bittersweet but gentle reminder that Father Time has no favorites
I hope that you will see this, understand and sympathize with the everyday problems that some of us in our society, in our lives, face every day. It’s a nice change of pace that doesn’t leave you feeling guilty about watching yet another “crime” show.
