Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew”; and other stars from a distant galaxy
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet, which causes them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young brothers is the same as Chewbacca’s family clock in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special (1978). Featured in the cast of AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022).
When I watched the first episode I was so happy that it was about 40 minutes long
I think the series is great so far, but there is one problem that really bugs me: the length. Then came the second episode: if you include flashbacks and credits, it’s not even 25 minutes long. If I get 25 minutes of a series every week, I have to see what happened the other week.
As for the cast: oh my god, they are kids
As soon as you can’t really get lost in the universe anymore, you’re hooked, it’s over. Incredibly unsatisfying! I probably won’t watch it for months and will try to avoid all spoilers so I can watch it all next year.
It’s clear they didn’t have years of acting training
However, the main characters are likable, the music is appropriate, and the action isn’t too kid-friendly. After two episodes, I can’t wait to see what happens next, but unfortunately I won’t find out until next year. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
